In Berdyansk, the occupiers are listing empty apartments, officially for “gas supply repairs in the city”.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russians destroyed the Donetsk-Mariupol gas pipeline, leaving a large number of cities in the region without gas supply. In particular, in Berdyansk, 60% of housing in the city is still without butane.
The Russians only promise to restore the gas supply, but do nothing in this direction. Instead, they demand to provide a list of empty apartments whose owners left the city during the occupation. If the neighbors do not report such apartments, the Russians threaten to leave them without heating during winter.
