On the temporarily occupied territories, the occupiers continued to violate International Humanitarian Law by forcibly recruiting Ukrainian citizens into the ranks of their army.
In September, leaflets calling to join the ranks of the occupation troops of the Russian Armed Forces were found in some settlements of the Kherson region. The occupiers are trying to buy people with high and stable salaries according to the contract.
However, according to information from the Ukrainian underground, this offer from the occupation forces is not in great demand among TOT citizens.
It should be remembered that the so-called “conscription” of Ukrainian citizens to the TOT is a direct violation of Article 51 of the Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
