The occupiers are starting a new wave of forced mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The process of mobilization in the temporarily occupied territories does not stop, but it has certain lulls. During the first wave of mobilization in the Russian Federation, men were also actively sought in the temporarily occupied territories. According to our data, the Russians are preparing a new wave of mobilization in the Russian Federation for January-February 2023. Therefore, an intensified mobilization campaign is starting in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, SMS messages are already being sent to men in Melitopol demanding that they come to the occupation commandant’s office. The occupiers pass off the forcibly mobilized as so-called volunteers.
The National Resistance Center urges men to avoid forced mobilization, not to appear at the so-called military commissariats or to “lose” documents. If possible, we urge you to leave the temporarily occupied territories. If you were forcibly mobilized, look for an opportunity to surrender to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Instructions on how to surrender safely here.
