THE RUSSIANS CONTINUE TO CREATE PSEUDO-VOLUNTARY MOVEMENTS IN THE TOT

Russian propagandists continue to imitate support for the occupation by the local population.

Thus, the occupier of the temporarily occupied districts of Zaporizhzhia, Yevheniy Balitsky, said that he allegedly had a meeting with the “Cossacks”, where they decided to create a “militia”. Of course, no photos or data of the Cossacks were provided.

Earlier, the occupiers in Zaporizhzhia announced the creation of a “volunteer battalion”. However, there were no locals willing to join it, as a result, Russians and Serbs were recruited into the “battalion”, who perform a propaganda function and are not a fighting force.

The same will happen with the pseudo-Cossack army, which is designed to create the illusion of local occupation support and speculation on history.

As a reminder, since September 2022, Russia has been actively trying to form pseudo-Cossack organizations in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region. The project was called “Cossack Khortytsia”. Its main goal is to replace Ukrainian identity with Russian and gradually impose the ideology of the “Russian world”. A prerequisite for participation in Cossack formations is to obtain a Russian passport and citizenship.
