The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, recorded a video message addressed to the Russian army.
In his address, Reznikov called on Russian soldiers to lay down their arms and stated that the Ukrainian side guarantees life, safety, and justice to all those who refuse to fight immediately.
“Your paratroopers are now dying on the right bank of the Dnieper. They know their business. But someone in the Kremlin decided to send them to certain death. Why does this happen? Everything is very simple. You have been deceived and betrayed. You were promised an “easy walk”. And sent into a trap. You pay in blood for someone’s fantasies and false goals. Now they don’t listen to you. Because listening to you now means admitting mistakes. And they don’t like the truth in Moscow,” said Reznikov.
He added that many Russians have already understood that they will not return after this war.
“You know that in Ukraine you don’t liberate anyone. You are destroying entire cities where not long ago locals considered you good neighbors and spoke Russian. And now enmity is sown for generations to come. Many of you have already understood that you were sent to die for a wrong cause. I’ll tell you what happens next. Thousands of Russian boys will die. Even more will be left without arms and legs. But they will be disgraced. And you will be made guilty. And then you will be betrayed again. As you already have been betrayed more than once,” explained the minister.
The resistance of the local population in the temporarily occupied territories proves every day that the stories about the “warm meeting of the Russians with flowers and songs” are outright lies and Russians are not welcome in our lands. At TOT, people are waiting only for military who wears Ukrainian uniform!
Ukraine’s National Resistance Center reminds that there is a hotline “I want to live” for mobilized Russians and those who were forcibly mobilized by the occupiers to the TOT. The Ukrainian side guarantees the safety of all who surrender. For information on how to surrender to a prisoner of war, Russian servicemen or their relatives should call the 24-hour numbers: +38 066 580 34 98 and +38 093 119 29 84.
We also call on residents of temporarily occupied regions to leave the region at the time of the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to liberate the territories.
