The occupation administration of the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region is desperately trying to hide the socio-economic decline of the controlled territories.
In particular, the invaders seek to use outright manipulation and populism. For example, the leader of the collaborators in the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, pompously announced the “launch of a program to reduce prices for essential goods,” emphasizing that “this fact shows that the government cares about the local population.”
It is worth noting that state regulation of prices is used only in the case of a deepening economic crisis and the need for covert market regulation.
The result of such regulation is the development of the “black market” and shortages of goods, which means that the invaders’ measures only deepen the crisis.
