Thanks to the information from the Ukrainian underground network in the temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine, it became known that a significant part of the local population continues to adhere to pro-Ukrainian sentiments.
About 73% of the population of Mariupol have a negative attitude towards the occupation administration and also make efforts to evade obtaining a Russian passport.
This fact, in turn, prompts the command of the ROV and the occupation administration of the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region to strengthen the administrative and police regime and repression against the local population.
At the same time, the underground focuses on the factors that contribute to the preservation of influential pro-Ukrainian sociopolitical sentiments:
- involvement of children from TOT in the Ukrainian educational process through a distance online form;
- mass reports of “preparation” of terrorist acts in occupier-controlled “secondary education” institutions;
- arrival in the region of many residents of Central Asia and the North Caucasus, which worsens the crime situation.
