The Russians continue the policy of forced passporting in the captured regions.
Within it, the enemy forces Ukrainians to write an application to renounce their citizenship. This practice was introduced into Russian legislation and is aimed exclusively at the assimilation of Ukrainians into the TOT. There is no such practice for citizens of other countries.
The statement serves for propaganda and is a method of psychological pressure. Forced acquisition of Russian citizenship by citizens of Ukraine living in the temporarily occupied territories is not recognized by Ukraine and is not a reason for the loss of Ukrainian citizenship. Such practices of the Russian occupation administrations are legally void.
