The Russian command used its special forces for “meat assaults”.
Due to the heavy losses of Russian infantry during the assault of Avdiivka, the occupiers engaged elite units of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces in “meat assaults.” Due to the involvement of well trained special forces personnel in atypical missions, the best Russian units actually partially lost their combat capabilities.
The Russian elite units were defeated by Ukrainian defenders who met the enemy in prepared positions.
We remind that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine decided to withdraw the units of the Defense Forces from Avdiivka to save the lives of our defenders.
