Russia lost nearly 50,000 lives in the battle for Avdiivka. This is nothing for the Putin regime within its “great country”.
The enemy’s offensive on Avdiivka began on October 10, 2023. It was then that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russian army stormed Avdiivka in the Donetsk region with three battalions supported by tanks and armored combat vehicles. After more than 4 months of bloody fighting with superior enemy forces, Ukrainian troops were forced to move to more favorable positions.
On February 17, 2024, the Commander of the “Tavria” Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, announced in his telegram channel at 02:15 a.m: “Following the order received, we left Avdiivka for the previously prepared positions.” The heroic defense of the city by the Ukrainian army lasted 130 days. The city had been in the frontline zone for almost 10 years, since the first phase of the Russian-Ukrainian war in 2014.
The data on the loss of fifty thousand killed and wounded by the Russians is confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, it is worth noting that on July 11, 2023, the official channel in X of British Intelligence published a video and a post. They claimed that during the Battle of Bakhmut, the Russian army lost one soldier every 48 square meters. After making similar calculations, we concluded that in the Battle of Avdiivka, one soldier of the Russian army was either killed or wounded every 10 square meters.
So, as we can see, Russia is once again demonstrating to the whole world that the life of its soldiers means nothing to it. What aggressive ambitions the Kremlin dictator is willing to sacrifice hundreds of thousands of Russians for, and it’s not just the territory of Ukraine.
As for the enemy’s equipment, it is worth noting that according to the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia lost more than a thousand pieces of military equipment during the offensive on Avdiivka. This included 748 armored combat vehicles, 364 tanks, 248 artillery systems and 5 aircraft. This is equal to the loss of at least 2 tank brigades.
On March 17 this year, presidential elections will be held in Russia. It’s no secret that Putin will be elected again with “record results”. At the same time, the dictator realizes that Russian society has a negative attitude towards “his”. Therefore, victories are needed to reduce tensions, no matter the cost. In other words, for the whims of one man, the dictator Putin, others give their own lives.
And this will continue until there are fundamental changes in Russia itself, until the Russians themselves demolish the Kremlin with their uprising.
