The National Resistance Center published a report on the scale of Russian troops’ losses during last year’s offensive of Ukrainian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region. Vyacheslav Dondokov, a member of the local parliament of Buryatia, made it public, and it has not only resonated but has been continued. Representatives of this Siberian national minority sent information to our chatbot that the story of Dondokov continues.
It turns out that the United Russia deputy, who served Putin’s regime faithfully, believed that truth is inherent in the broad Russian soul and retired with a clear conscience after participating in the war. And for the published information that in 2023 Russian troops lost more than 12,000 wounded per month in Zaporizhzhia region alone, he hoped that his frontline merits would be duly appreciated and that his credibility would only grow for reporting the facts.

These figures do not include those killed directly on the battlefield and prisoners of war. In addition, about a quarter of the wounded brought to the staging area by the Russians do not survive.
By the way, from the presentation of the Buryat unity leader, we can conclude that among the enormous losses in the Russian army, a significant proportion are representatives of the small nations of Siberia. In particular, Buryats make up a disproportionately large percentage of those mobilized into Putin’s army for the war against Ukraine.
Moscow does not forgive such audacity. We received the following document from the Buryat minority. It is a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation signed by the same captain of the medical service, Dondokov, dated September 19, 2024.
Not even a few months after completing his service as a “successful” politician, a “hero of his own,” and a representative of the “new elite,” he signs a contract again. He goes to war in Ukraine as part of the 442nd military hospital. The hospital is currently deployed in one of the hottest spots on the frontline in Donetsk Oblast. That is, he does not build a career after his military service, does not develop Buryatia as a member of parliament, but goes back to the front.
It seems that the political career of the occupying Buryat will end there. Now, his task is to survive, and judging by the above information, his chances are slim.
The Kremlin’s repressive machine never forgives free thinking and such audacity as Dondokov dared to do, hoping to earn points among potential voters by publishing the truth about Russian losses in the war they unleashed. But it didn’t work out that way. Especially if you are a representative of “non-Russian blood”.
