Mass celebrations and three days off. This is how the “celebration” of the second anniversary of the so-called reunification of the temporarily occupied Donbas with Russia looks like. In order to make the celebration massive, the Russian occupation authorities resorted to their traditional methods – events became mandatory for all employees of state-financed institutions and, of course, for pupils and students.
Such “celebrations” are taking place in the temporarily occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, almost completely destroyed Mariupol and all the occupied cities and villages. Local gauleiters and collaborators make propaganda speeches about all the “delights”.
But the festive facades hide the cruel reality of life in the occupied territories. The local population is subjected to repression, arbitrariness and terror by the occupiers. Ukrainian schools and cultural institutions are being destroyed or reformatted to meet the needs of Russian propaganda. The healthcare system has completely switched to military mode and practically does not serve the civilian population.
As a reminder, on February 21, 2022, Russia recognized the “independence” of the separatist pseudo-entities of the DPR and LPR, and signed agreements of friendship and mutual assistance with these regions. Three days later, the Kremlin’s unprovoked full-scale invasion of the sovereign state of Ukraine began. On September 30, the Kremlin invaders “recognized” the annexation of the annexed territories of Ukraine to Russia.
The National Resistance Center calls on all concerned to bring the time of liberation of our lands from Russian occupation closer by sharing this post and donating to the Defense Forces.
