Another increase in fares for an almost non-existent public transportation

40-50 minutes of waiting for a bus during rush hours, a schedule that lasts until 6 p.m., and faulty buses are just some of the “inconveniences” faced by residents of the temporarily occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions. People complain that it is impossible to get home after work, the only option is a taxi, which not everyone can afford. Finally, the prices for public transportation are also too high for most people. The cost of public transportation is at least 20 Russian rubles.

Meanwhile, the local occupation administration is preparing for another “improvement”. It is a possible increase in fares to improve the quality of transportation. This is stated in surveys conducted by collaborators. They ask whether citizens are willing to pay more for better quality.

However, raising the fare will not affect the quality of public transportation. The total shortage of drivers due to mass mobilization to the occupier’s army and the deterioration of the vehicle fleet cannot be solved in this way.

The National Resistance Center calls for help to bring the time of de-occupation of Ukrainian lands closer to return to normal and safe life. You can help by sharing the information above or by donating to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
