Children of secondary schools in the temporarily occupied Mariupol were “initiated” into the so-called “eagles” by the invaders. This mandatory “procedure” is designed not only to deprive children of their national identity, but also to form them into obedient henchmen who will support the Kremlin’s ideology and policies based on hatred and contempt for their homeland and any human values.
In Mariupol schools, as well as in all educational institutions of the temporarily occupied Ukraine, education is not aimed at gaining knowledge, but at Russification of students. Here, children are forced to raise the flag of Russia and sing the anthem of this terrorist country every day. The occupiers also placed materials about Russian militants who took part in the destruction of Mariupol in all educational institutions, and called this stand “our heroes”.
The National Resistance Center reminds that such an education system is aimed at turning Ukrainian youth into a tool for strengthening the occupation regime and is a violation of international human rights.
