According to information we received from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russians intend to hold the so-called “International Forum of Civic Participation #We Are Together-2024” in the TOT of Luhansk region. The event is to become another tool to strengthen disinformation influence on Ukrainians under occupation. The so-called forum aims to create the illusion of support for the occupation authorities among the local population and to create a false impression in the world about the integration of the TOT into Russian society.
The occupation authorities also aim to attract young people, entrepreneurs and civic activists from the occupied territories who are forced to participate in such events through coercion or intimidation. In addition, this event will serve as a cover for establishing strict ideological control and spreading hostile narratives, which will be mainly aimed at discrediting Ukraine.
The occupiers, through forced integration, in particular, with regard to such propaganda activities, justify the occupation and contribute to its legitimization in the eyes of the TOT population.
The National Resistance Center monitors and studies all hostile activities in the TOT. All participants in criminal acts, including organizers and propagandists, will be held accountable after the de-occupation of the territories.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
