Occupiers in Ukraine’s TOT Systematically Exert Information and Psychological Pressure on Children

The Russian occupiers in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories (TOT) systematically exert information and psychological pressure on children through various propaganda methods, including the so-called “children’s television.” These efforts are deliberately designed to instill pro-Russian views. The occupiers have created children’s television programs and editorial offices on the propaganda channel Luhansk 24, specifically targeting the minds of the most vulnerable audience—children.

Instead of fostering creativity and promoting values based on humanism, these programs impose Russian propaganda rhetoric. Contests and television shows are crafted to encourage children to support the occupiers’ aggressive policies and internalize false narratives.

These criminal actions are aimed not only at erasing the Ukrainian identity of the younger generation but also at psychologically breaking them to align with the aggressor’s broader paradigm.

The National Resistance Center emphasizes that distorting children’s consciousness in the temporarily occupied territories constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law. The occupiers will inevitably face accountability for their crimes, including those against children.

You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
