Occupiers Are Destroying the Energy System in Ukraine’s TOT

Systematic power outages persist in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories (TOT), becoming an everyday reality for local residents. Recently, in the TOT of the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the city of Melitopol, an accident at a transformer substation left the districts of Novyi Melitopol and Yurivka without electricity. This outage is yet another consequence of the chaos and mismanagement brought about by the occupation authorities in the TOT.

The substation accident underscores the total neglect of the region’s energy infrastructure, now controlled by the occupier-run Tavria-Energo company. The unprofessional actions of this entity have further deteriorated the already dire energy situation in the region.

The occupiers’ so-called “comprehensive restoration” of the energy infrastructure has only deepened existing problems, leaving the power system in a constant state of emergency. This ongoing neglect continues to cause frequent blackouts and prolonged power outages, further highlighting the occupation authorities’ inability to manage even basic services effectively. You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
