The Russian occupation authorities continue their systematic and criminal efforts to militarize children in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories (TOT). In Henichesk, Kherson region, the occupiers recently conducted a so-called “master class” for students at School № 3, where they were taught how to disassemble and assemble a Kalashnikov rifle.
The enemy enforces this “military training” through the “Yunarmiya” movement — Russia’s modern equivalent of the Hitler Youth, designed to recruit young people into the aggressor’s future army.
During these events, Ukrainian children are not merely instructed in handling weapons but are openly prepared for eventual service in the occupation army. Schoolchildren are forced to study the principles of operating assault rifles and practice assembling and disassembling combat weapons. This clearly indicates what awaits them upon reaching adulthood — forced integration into the Russian military system and conscription into the aggressor’s army.
The Kremlin’s criminals are deliberately raising a generation in the TOT that sees war as an integral part of life, while imposing the idea of Ukraine as an enemy. The occupiers are systematically erasing Ukrainian identity, destroying cultural, historical, and linguistic ties to ensure that children in the TOT grow up fully indoctrinated in the Russian information space and blindly loyal to the regime.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
