Russian occupation administrations continue to use children in the temporarily occupied territories for militaristic propaganda. According to Russian media reports, pro-Kremlin youth organizations “Young Guard of United Russia” and “Volunteer Company” have already begun preparations for propaganda events in the TOT.
As part of the propaganda campaigns, children are forced to write letters and draw postcards for representatives of the Russian occupation forces involved in the war against Ukraine. Thus, young people in the TOT are involved by enemy propagandists in activities that they do not understand, as they grow up in an environment where the information space is fully controlled by the occupation regime.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that by using children to glorify the occupation army, Russia systematically violates the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which prohibits the involvement of children in armed conflict. This is yet another proof that the Russian occupation poses a threat not only to the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but also to the mental and cultural future of Ukrainian children.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
