For now, the Russians in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk region are announcing an “environmental reform” – they say they will build new waste recycling facilities. In fact, this is another information manipulation that hides the real problem – an environmental disaster that is unfolding due to the irresponsibility of the Russian occupation administration.
Thus, the occupation administration has been unable to organize normal waste removal for several years. Garbage is accumulating in cities and villages, landfills are growing, and toxic substances are polluting water and soil. Instead of solving the problem, the Russian-controlled companies, in their typical style, “ assimilate” the funds, leaving the landfills without proper control.
At the same time, the occupiers have announced the construction of three waste recycling plants, but there are serious doubts that these plants will ever start working, as the Russian occupation administration does not have the resources and capital to implement such environmental projects. Experience shows that the allocated funds will simply be stolen, and the garbage will remain at best in old landfills.
The occupiers see “waste recycling” only as a way to generate income. New enterprises, if they are built, will be controlled by Russian companies that will use them for money laundering, not for solving the waste problem.
The Center for National Resistance calls on the residents of the TOT not to believe the propaganda of the occupiers and to record the environmental crimes of the Russian Federation, as this is also an important component for which the occupiers will inevitably be held accountable and bring de-occupation closer.
