This time, the Kremlin has sent ophthalmologists from Yakutia on a “rotation” to the temporarily occupied Donetsk region. However, these are not fully qualified doctors. The so-called Yakut landing force consists of nearly 30 medical students from some of the most remote regions of Russia. In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Donbas, they primarily practice on the local population, gaining experience at the expense of civilians.
The collaborators portray this event as a solution to the critical shortage of medical personnel, a crisis caused by Russia’s own actions in the TOT of Ukraine. Due to the severe lack of qualified doctors in these regions, the occupiers continue to deploy medical teams from across Russia.
A concerning trend in the provision of emergency medical care in the temporarily occupied regions is the prioritization of Russian citizens over local residents. This policy has dire consequences for the civilian population, resulting in a significantly increased mortality rate among Ukrainian civilians.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the only path to restoring normal life in the occupied territories is through the liberation of our lands from the enemy. Only then can stability, proper medical services, and an improved humanitarian situation be achieved.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
