In preschools and educational institutions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, administrations have been instructed to ban even the mention of St. Nicholas. Only Santa Claus and the snow maiden should be present at all events. In addition, a complete taboo on carols and nativity scenes has been introduced.
The day before, the occupiers held “preventive” talks with children to discredit Santa Claus and all fairy-tale heroes of Western cultures.
