Children from the social shelter in TO Khartsyzsk taken to Russia by the occupiers

Twelve children from the temporarily occupied city of Khartsyzsk have been taken by Russian occupiers to Moscow under the pretext of the so-called Christmas holidays. All the children are residents of the Khartsyzsk “social” shelter, which houses those who lost their parents due to the russian invasion. Some of the children also lived along the contact line and lost their homes.

The program for Ukrainian children in Russia follows a familiar pattern. Boys and girls are subjected to propaganda excursions highlighting places of so-called russian “glory.” Additionally, the children are given the “opportunity” to live with russian families. This aligns with one of the Kremlin’s primary objectives: to assimilate Ukrainians and impose a russian identity on them.

In the 21st century, Russia is committing genocide against Ukrainians, openly denying the Ukrainian nation’s right to exist. One of the most chilling aspects of this policy is the deliberate effort to alter the self-identity of Ukrainian children. This is not merely a policy but an attempt to destroy the nation and erase Ukrainians’ connection to their past.

You can stop the policy of the russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
