Collaborators “fulfill plans” for passportization at the expense of the disabled

The occupiers are trying by all means to resolve the stalemate with the passportization of the local population. They are unable to fulfill the plan to issue Russian passports, so they have to resort to blackmail and various illegal actions.

Recently, in Kakhovka, the occupation administration organized a trip of a paralyzed woman to the ROA to get a Russian passport. For this purpose, they used an ambulance to bring the disabled woman to the passport office.

These are not isolated cases of violations of the rights of people with disabilities. For example, the Russian Ombudsman for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, together with the occupation authorities, took four children from the Oleshky Orphanage for Children with Special Needs in Kherson Oblast to Penza in Russia. All four children are minors who were recognized as incapacitated and deprived of parental care.

International law prohibits the transfer of people from the occupied territories, regardless of age or legal capacity. Forcible displacement of civilians without good reason can be considered a war crime, and under certain conditions, a crime against humanity.
