Russia’s Ministry of Defense has found a way to replenish the pool of those who will be killed in Ukraine. The Kremlin plans to include all Cossacks in the army’s mobilization human reserve. A bill has already been registered for this purpose.
Now, in Russia and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, it is possible to involve Cossacks in mobilization under a “simplified procedure”. Previously, to be included in such a reserve, each citizen had to individually sign an agreement with the Ministry of Defence. Now it will be a herd contract.
After all, this is not a new practice for the occupiers. Since the beginning of their invasion of Ukraine back in 2014, they have been actively involving pseudo-Cossack organisations in the war.
