The “deputies” of the so-called “Donetsk people’s republic” have proposed a “bill” with a list of “correct” holidays that should be accompanied by propaganda campaigns and glorify Russian staples and discredit Ukrainian traditions. All this is to popularize “Russian culture” and “historical heritage.” But the point is not so much to create new holidays as to ban those that undermine the Russian world.
The Halloween holiday, which is very popular almost all over the world, caused a special scream among Kremlin fans in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The local collaborators decided to ban it and determine the punishment for celebrating the day of the dead.
The National Resistance Center reminds that such actions of the invaders are part of the Kremlin’s broader strategy to assimilate the local population of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, which aims to strengthen control over the population and undermine national consciousness.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
