In the temporarily occupied territories, the main three-day part of the “presidential elections in Russia” has begun, which have a purely propaganda purpose.
“Elections” in Russia are not a mechanism for changing the government, but a totalitarian tool for strengthening it by “legalizing” the government through fraud and restricting voter rights. At the same time, there is no vote count, and the only indicator is the turnout.
In the case of “elections” in the TOT, this process is also a propaganda one, as it is supposed to serve as proof that the locals support the occupation, which, according to the Kremlin’s insane logic, is a justification for the war of aggression.
However, the local population that remained in the TOT shows no interest in this farce, so the Russians had to take measures to hide the lack of turnout:
- The “elections” were stretched over weeks to explain the empty polling stations and their small number;
- “voting” was allowed to be conducted without passports, as the locals sabotaged the passportization process;
- forced voting at the place of residence, which takes place in the presence of Russian militants, during the occupiers’ rounds of houses;
- listing those who do not plan to go to the “polling station” as disloyal residents with further consequences;
- students from the Russian Federation were brought to the TOT as extras, and young people were promised scholarships for this;
- budgetary institutions received a plan for the attendance of employees and the polling stations to which they should go at a certain time;
- control over the turnout is carried out through video recording and through coercion to participate in the flash mob “the whole family – to the polls”, in which the voter must report on his participation;
- “voting” of the personnel of the Russian armed forces and the brought touring musicians from Russia, which should also increase the total number of voters in the TOT;
- forced voting of migrants without Russian passports from Central Asia in exchange for an extra day off;
- distribution of humanitarian aid to pensioners near polling stations in exchange for “voting”.
We note that these “elections” will not be recognized by most civilized countries and are just a cargo cult performed by the Russian dictator.
We urge you to report the members of the “polling stations” and all others who help the Kremlin in this information operation to “legalize” the occupation to our chatbot. The anonymity of the reports is guaranteed.
