In the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region, “Gestapo officers” from the “Investigative Committee” raided the children’s sports clubs of the city.
Teenagers were allegedly interviewed about training conditions, but in fact they were looking for disloyal families. In particular, teenagers were urged to report “suspicious persons”, i.e. report on classmates and neighbors.
The enemy is trying to contrast young athletes with peers in order to single out a separate group and rally around their ideas. That is, it implements the principle of “divide and rule”.
The National Resistance Center notes that it was the Russian Federation that deprived the captured regions of sports prospects, and now most of the remaining athletes cannot compete in international competitions.
