The Ministry of Attack of the Republic of Belarus has announced the start of a combat readiness check of military units in the armed forces.
During the exercises, it is planned to move personnel to certain areas, in particular, the border areas along the border with Ukraine, where live-fire training will take place, military equipment will be moved, and civilian traffic on public roads and in the region will be temporarily restricted.
According to local reports, the instructors are Russian citizens, which does not find support among the personnel of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
In particular, Colonel Igor Kryuchkov, commander of the separate service of active measures of the border committee of the Republic of Belarus, in a conversation with colleagues, said that he did not like the way Russian military instructors, in particular, mercenaries from the Wagner PMC, treated and behaved with the personnel of the special unit of the Belarusian border guards.
The presence of Russian instructors shows that the Kremlin is not abandoning the idea of using the Belarusian military for its own purposes.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, military exercises have been conducted in Belarus almost continuously to put pressure on the Ukrainian military and political leadership.
