Despite the promise of high payments to residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine who have reached retirement age, people cannot receive any money. First of all, because they are unable to confirm their work experience. Another reason is the lack of a Russian passport.
But even those who have managed to overcome all these obstacles face another meanness of the Russian invaders. In practice, the promised pensions of 19 to 29 thousand Russian rubles eventually reach no more than half.
The Kremlin followed the same path when it annexed Ukrainian Crimea. In 2014, residents of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian peninsula did receive substantial pension payments. Even then, they averaged 20 thousand Russian rubles. But the holiday did not last long. Now the average pension on the peninsula is no more than 9 thousand.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
