Happy Independence Day to those who are making history right now, despite the circumstances and challenges of the times.
Today, all Ukrainians celebrate Independence Day because we associate this day with freedom. Freedom is the engine that makes us a great nation. Freedom is what our enemy does not have, and it is our eternal desire for it that will destroy him.
The enemy has captured our lands, but has not conquered our people. The entire repressive apparatus of the Kremlin has not stopped the Ukrainian resistance. Every day, Ukrainians pass on information about the enemy and traitors, mark the space, sabotage the invaders’ instructions, and bring the moment of liberation closer.
Our nation has been forged in the epochs of national liberation struggles, each of which has made us stronger, and now we are avenging each and every one of the fallen. We urge you to support those who are prohibited from celebrating by the occupiers today. We urge you to honor every hero who has fallen for our freedom, to remember those who gave their lives to make us all independent.
