The Russian occupation forces continue to exploit the local population and critical infrastructure for military purposes. This time, the occupiers have deployed personnel in residential areas of Svatove and Sievierodonetsk in the Luhansk region.
By stationing troops in civilian areas, the Russian forces are deliberately using local residents as human shields — an egregious violation of international humanitarian law and the laws of war. Additionally, the occupiers are setting up ground-based air defense systems and establishing additional maneuverable electronic warfare groups in densely populated areas.
The National Resistance Center reminds that the use of civilians and critical infrastructure for military purposes constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity. All those responsible will be identified and held accountable under international law.
