The Russian occupation administration continues to fabricate threats and use the “fight against extremism” as a pretext for ideological pressure on young people in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
For example, in the TOT of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson region, the occupiers held a series of events in schools aimed at distorting the concept of security, imposing fear and attempting to suppress any manifestation of resistance among Ukrainian youth.
In Melitopol, for example, a so-called “lecture” on the alleged threats of terrorism and extremism was organized for local school students with the participation of representatives of the Russian Guard. A similar event took place in schools in the Genichesk district, where the occupation police explained to students what statements and actions could be considered “extremist” under Russian law.
In reality, the occupiers mean “terrorism” and “extremism” as any resistance to their criminal regime. Cooperation with the Ukrainian Resistance Movement, support for Ukraine, or even dissatisfaction with the actions of the invaders is automatically equated with a “crime.”
In fact, the main purpose of such “events” is to instill fear among young people and to form a stereotype among schoolchildren that any disagreement with the occupying authorities is a crime. The Russians are trying to erase their native culture, history, and nationality from the memory of Ukrainian children. In this way, the invaders are trying to raise a generation that will be completely dependent on the occupation regime and devoid of its own national consciousness.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the enemy is trying to deprive Ukrainian children of the right to freedom of speech and is forming a totalitarian society in the TOT.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
