Mass dismissal of ambulance workers in the annexed Crimea

Thus, on the peninsula temporarily occupied by Russia, the so-called medical sector is in decline due to the indifference of the Russian occupation administration, and a vivid example of this is the massive dismissal of ambulance workers in Simferopol. Doctors and paramedics are leaving their jobs because of unbearable working conditions, huge workloads, and humiliatingly low salaries. According to the doctors themselves, there was no such crisis even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to sources, the situation is on the verge of a catastrophe: the staff shortage reaches 40-50%. This means that there are only 4-5 ambulances at one substation, which have to handle up to 90 calls a day. As a result, the time per patient is reduced to a minimum, and in the event of an emergency, there is simply no one to respond. Moreover, the Russian Ministry of Health has banned resident doctors from working in ambulances, which has further deepened the staffing crisis.

The main reason for the dismissals is the miserable financial support. Medical workers receive only 25 thousand rubles a month, and the so-called “incentive” allowances were canceled last year. Also, some employees have not yet received part of their salaries for January, which indicates complete financial chaos in the so-called “Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation,” but the occupiers always have money for military spending.

Innocent Crimeans suffering from the failed policy of the invaders are left without proper medical care. The Russian administration once again demonstrates complete indifference to people’s lives, while its priority remains war and repression. The situation with the ambulance is just one of many examples of the destructive impact of the occupation regime on the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The National Resistance Center warns that the occupiers have never had and will not have any intention of introducing new so-called “reforms” that will somehow help the local population to work under occupation.

You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
