Forced renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship in the temporarily occupied territories is one of the Kremlin’s goals in Ukraine. The Russian occupiers have a plan to replace Ukrainian passports with Russian ones one hundred percent. Citizens without a Russian piece of paper are considered foreigners or migrants, no matter that these people have lived for generations on the original Ukrainian land.
Now the Kremlin and its Fuhrer have gone even further. Putin has signed a federal law establishing a new legal regime of expulsion for migrants who do not have “legal” grounds to stay in Russia and its “new regions.” To ensure that their departure from the occupied territories does take place, it is envisaged to restrict the rights and freedoms of such citizens, as well as to apply control measures.
In addition, a law has been signed that allows for the termination of acquired Russian citizenship if a person refuses to register for military service. In this way, Putin’s regime wants to remedy the situation by mobilizing the Russian army at the expense of the population of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The National Resistance Center calls on residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to avoid replacing their Ukrainian passports with Russian ones whenever possible. After all, the next step after receiving it is mobilization for the army of murderers and rapists.
