The National Resistance Center has received another batch of evidence about another Russian terrorist. This time, it is Colonel, commander of the 319th separate helicopter regiment, military unit 13984 – 319th separate helicopter regiment of the 11th army of the air force and air defense of the eastern military district of the russian armed forces, valery nikolayevich gerasimov (gerasimov valery nikolayevich).

The 43-year-old colonel from Saratov Oblast came to Belarus in February 2022 to “take Kyiv in three days” and denationalize independent and sovereign Ukraine. It was from the territory of Belarus that Valera led the actions of the 319th separate helicopter regiment from February to April 2022 during the operation to capture Kyiv.
A brief chronicle of Gerasimov’s “victories”:
On February 23, Russian troops arrived in Belarus, including army aviation, which was supposed to land the troops and provide them with support. The basis of the grouping was the 319th Separate Helicopter Regiment of the Eastern Military District (based in Chernigovka, Primorsky Krai), commanded by Colonel Valery Gerasimov. The main place of concentration was the Machulishchi air base near Minsk. However, as the date of the invasion approached, the helicopters were moved further south to temporary sites. One of these sites was set up on a stretch of highway near the town of Khoiniki, 32 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
Gerasimov’s helicopters – 16 Ka-52 attack helicopters and 18 Mi-8-AMTSh (the latter carrying up to 200 paratroopers with small arms, anti-tank missile systems and 82mm mortars) – crossed the Belarusian-Ukrainian border at low altitude. This is how the Russian terrorists’ battle for the Gostomel airport began.

It was under Gerasimov’s command that Putin’s thugs were brought to the territory of Ukraine, not only to carry out “combat missions” but also to commit crimes against the civilian population of the Kyiv region.

Starting February 25, for 6 days, Russian troops landed by Gerasimov’s helicopters at the Gostomel airport and shot civilians who tried to escape the shelling.

In addition to his direct involvement in the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Valery Gerasimov has experience in other Russian wars against sovereign states, for which he received the Nesterov Medal.
Colonel is still actively training pilots for their further involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian war. But among his “students” there are those who understand the full extent of the crimes of the Russian Federation and the Kremlin Fuhrer and are trying to resist the terrorists. Among them is Maxim Kuzminov.
Kuzminov is a captain in the Russian army, a graduate of the Syzran Aviation School. The 28-year-old military officer, according to his own statements, opposed the war in Ukraine and contacted Ukrainian special services. On August 9, 2023, he flew to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine in an Mi-8 helicopter. Maksym was looking for options to go over to the Ukrainian side and in March 2022 contacted the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine through the “I Want to Live” channel.

Despite his involvement in heinous crimes against Ukraine and its civilian population, Gerasimov continues to live a “normal” life, raising a child and trying to love his wife, earning a good salary and changing cars frequently.
As in previous cases, the National Resistance Center is passing all information about the war criminals of Gerasimov’s group to the Resistance Movement of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that terrorists are held accountable for the murders.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
