In the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia, the occupiers continued their policy of monopolizing the religious space.
Thus, on the canonical lands of Ukraine, they formed the so-called “Berdiansk diocese” as part of the Russian Orthodox Church, headed by Russian touring priest Andrey Volchkov (“Bishop Luke”). Recently, the occupiers have brought propaganda literature to the seized churches that justify the occupation and deny the existence of the Ukrainian nation.
It should be noted that the Russians are repressing representatives of all denominations except those under their control. All “enemy churches” have been looted and seized and are not operating.
The National Resistance Center notes that all collaborators who are engaged in propaganda for the Putin regime will be held accountable for their activities and crimes against the Ukrainian people.
