Thus, the Russian occupiers no longer hide their intentions – mobilization activities are starting in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region. The occupation administration has officially launched a conscription mechanism for the occupation army, trying to hide it under the guise of “training camps.”
Thus, the governor of the so-called “DPR” Denis Pushilin signed an order to prepare the local population for service in the occupation army. In fact, this means mobilizing people with Russian passports who live in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region.
At the same time, the occupation administration is trying to conceal the mobilization measures, as the document is officially based on Russian regulations on the training of reservists, but the text does not mention reservists. This is part of the occupiers’ strategy to disguise forced mobilization.
In this process, representatives of the Russian military authorities involve military enlistment offices and military commandant’s offices, which perform coercive functions of controlling mobilization. The most important thing is that the order clearly states that the targeted conscription and distribution of those mobilized to the Russian army is carried out, which completely refutes the myth of voluntary participation in these “training camps.”
According to available information, the occupiers plan to start the so-called conscription in March-April 2025. This will allow them to disguise the mobilization as an annual conscription campaign in Russia.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that the occupiers continue to use the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories as a resource for waging war. Therefore, we urge local residents to avoid contact with the occupation structures whenever possible. If possible, refuse to receive Russian passports and take measures to minimize the risk of being mobilized.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
