Thus, from July 1, 2025, a significant increase in utility tariffs is planned for the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region – by an average of 26.8%. The occupation administration justifies this by the need to “unify tariffs with the level of other regions of the Russian Federation.”
However, the real reason is the failure of the so-called economic policy of the invaders. Despite the constant funding from the Russian budget, the economy of the TOT remains in decline, and financial resources are stolen through Russian corrupt schemes.
As a result, the local population has already faced a number of problems. Among them are the rapid growth of utility prices, additional bureaucratic obstacles in the process of obtaining subsidies, etc. Such problems arise, among other things, due to corruption and ineffective management. Instead, the occupation administration is trying to shift the burden of its own failures onto the shoulders of local residents, failing to provide them with even the minimum necessary living conditions.
The National Resistance Center emphasizes that every day a systematic work is underway to document the persons involved in the organization of economic plunder in the TOT of Ukraine. Everyone who fulfills the criminal orders of the occupation administration must realize that their actions are being recorded and will be used to bring them to justice. De-occupation is inevitable
