Policemen in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine are trying to desert to the territory of the Russian Federation to escape from the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
As the National Resistance Center learned, many collaborators from the occupation “police” of the TOT of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblast have already written resignation reports, planning to evacuate to the territory of the Russian Federation before the start of the Ukrainian counteroffensive. In addition to the fear of appearing before a Ukrainian court for treason, policemen are also afraid of the prospect of being forced to join the ranks of the occupying army.
However, the leadership of the occupying “police” refuses to sign the dismissal reports and forbade the collaborators to leave the settlements where they “serve”. Moreover, policemen are also recalled from vacations. In order to avoid a meeting with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, some collaborators tried to arrange hospitalization in local hospitals, but it is difficult for them to do so, because almost all beds are occupied by wounded Russian soldiers.
