The Russian occupation administration in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region is devising new tactics to recruit “cannon fodder” for its invasion army. Recently, Gauleiter Yevhen Balytskyi announced that participants in the war against Ukraine would supposedly be granted land plots in the region for free.
However, these statements are nothing more than a propaganda ploy by the occupation authorities. The Kremlin has repeatedly failed in its campaign of forced mobilization in the TOT, as the local population categorically refuses to fight against their own people.
Now, the occupiers are attempting to lure new recruits with empty promises and material “incentives.”
Notably, even Balytskyi himself admits that no official mechanism for land distribution exists and no clear conditions have been set for granting land plots. Moreover, the so-called land distribution is planned only after the war ends — an uncertain and distant future, making it easy for the occupiers to simply “forget” their promises.
The residents of the TOT are not deceived by this cheap lie and refuse to fight against their own country. Instead, they continue to resist the invaders, sabotage their criminal orders, and evade mobilization into the occupiers’ army by any means necessary.
