In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russians have begun forcibly conscripting athletes of military age into the army.
Athletes who have agreed to compete under the occupation flag are now being included in the general list of candidates for Russian national sports teams.
These traitors will be required to combine military service with their training. However, given Russia’s exclusion from numerous international sports competitions and the global non-recognition of the occupied territories, it is likely that many of these athletes will have to abandon their sports careers — only to meet their fate on the battlefield.
