In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of the Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in the village of Kamianets-Dniprovskyi, the occupiers, with the support of representatives from the pro-Putin United Russia party, organized another propaganda campaign at a local school. The event involved all students and aimed to impose the so-called “patriotic education” on local youth. For the occupation regime, “patriotic education” is a means of fostering unquestioning support for the Russian aggressor, legitimizing its illegal actions against Ukraine, and reshaping the self-identity of young people in the TOT.
During the meeting, the so-called “activists of youth movements,” along with alleged “heroes of the Ukrainian army,” attempted to justify their actions and legitimize the war crimes of the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian people. At the same time, the occupiers used the event as an opportunity to recruit students for potential collaboration with enemy-controlled structures.
The Center of National Resistance emphasizes that manipulating children and instilling anti-Ukrainian sentiments in the TOT represents one of the most heinous international crimes. The occupiers deliberately target young people, as they are the most vulnerable part of society. Russia seeks to erase all traces of Ukrainian identity from children’s minds, including their language, culture, and history. In place of these, the aggressor imposes its imperial ideology, deliberately erasing and distorting the identity of the younger generation.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution.
