In the temporarily occupied territories (TOT), Russians continue to recruit the local population into the ranks of the Russian armed forces, in blatant violation of international law.
The occupiers are either encouraging their ideological supporters to sign contracts or exerting pressure on individuals accused of various offenses. Despite promises not to send recruits to the front lines, evidence shows this to be a blatant lie.
Even with these coercive methods, the Kremlin failed to meet its already underestimated 2024 target of recruiting 10,000 contract soldiers from residents of the TOT. The situation in the TOTs of southern Ukraine (Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions) was particularly dire, with mobilization plans falling short by more than 50%.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
