In recent weeks, the occupiers’ main efforts in the TOT have been focused on holding the so-called “expression of will” during the “presidential elections” in Russia. For this purpose, significant forces of the Russian National Guard were sent to the TOT.
In particular, thanks to information from the underground, it was established that more than 5.4 thousand people are currently operating in the TOT of Donetsk region. More than 2.7 thousand are protecting the locations of “election commissions” of various levels. More than 2.5 thousand will be involved in the daily protection of “mobile electoral commissions” members, and up to 200 people will be involved in the personal protection of the “heads of election commissions”.
At the same time, in the TOT of Zaporizhzhia region, about 2.5 thousand people from the Russian National Guard and the Russian police will be involved in the protection of members of “mobile electoral commissions”.
Since the Kremlin lacks security forces, 600 employees from more than a hundred Russian private security companies were additionally engaged to guard the “voting” sites. Employees of these structures have long been guarding educational institutions, key enterprises and critical infrastructure for the occupiers. Some of them have legally registered their branches in the TOT of Ukraine.
The occupation administrations are trying to prevent the destabilization of the socio-political situation in the controlled territories by all means. In preparation for the “voting,” they decided not to “evacuate” the “voting” places in case of information about a terrorist attack. They created special groups to monitor information resources to avoid the resonance of “undesirable” information materials. Their goal is to identify and block information that could destabilize the situation in the TOT during the preparation and holding of the “elections”.
