The Kremlin organizes systematic visits, or rather raids with inspections, to institutions for orphans in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The main goal of the visitors is to organize the transportation of young Ukrainians to Russia for adoption. This time, the orphanage in Shakhtarsk was “inspected” by the so-called Russian Senator Alexander Voloshin. At the meeting, the collaborator promised the children to take them to Moscow.
By the end of 2024, the register of children from the temporarily occupied Ukraine who are left without parents will be included in the federal bank of orphans of the Russian Federation. This task is being carried out by local collaborators from the Kremlin.
Russia is committing yet another crime by trying to control and transfer orphans from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to its territory. These actions constitute a gross violation of international law and an element of genocide aimed at destroying Ukrainian identity. The removal of children, especially the most vulnerable – orphans, is an attempt to force assimilation and deprive them of their right to return home. The international community must respond to this crime to protect Ukrainian children and bring to justice those involved in these actions.
You can stop the policy of the Russian invaders and their collaborators by publicizing their crimes and demanding their international prosecution. You can also participate in rallies in support of Ukraine or donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
