The occupiers conducted a closed sociological survey to find out the real level of support for the occupation in the south.
However, the results did not impress Moscow; most of the population of the TOT of southern Ukraine does not support the occupation of the region by Russian occupation forces. Thus, about 5% of residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions have pro-Russian views, but about 35% have an exclusively pro-Ukrainian position.
Instead, 60% refused to answer, which is not surprising given the repressive methods of the occupiers.
Another painful topic for Russians is the still low pace of passportization. Due to non-fulfillment of the plan, the enemy is forced to postpone the introduction of new labor market rules in the TOT, according to which Ukrainians without an enemy passport will be considered migrants and must obtain a work permit.
All this led to the Kremlin’s dissatisfaction with the work of the Gauleiters of the regions, namely Vladimir Saldo and Eugene Balitsky. Therefore, Moscow is discussing new candidates for these positions.
