Russian teenagers will produce 10 thousand Shahed UAVs per year
Activists of the Cyber Resistance group handed over to the National Resistance Center documents confirming another brazen crime of the Russian aggressor – the involvement of underage civilians in the production of weapons.
Among the documents received are lists of teenagers enrolled in the Alabuga Polytechnic School, their passports and parental consent. In a recent investigation, Cyber Resistance activists released documents confirming that the Russian aggressor localized the production of Iranian Shaheed-136 (Geranium-2) UAVs in the so-called Alabuga Special Economic Zone (Tatarstan).
A document preceding the visit of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Andrei Belousov (who also serves as the head of the government commission on the development of unmanned aerial systems), states that the planned production capacity of the Geran-2 drones is 10,000 units for 2024. For the sake of secrecy, the production of the drones is called the “Dolphin Project.”
“Alabuga Polytech” is an educational cluster based in the Alabuga SEZ. Its task is to train future personnel for Alabuga enterprises. And given that Alabuga has become a military facility, the actual task of Polytech is to train personnel for the Russian military-industrial complex.
According to internal documents, the capacity of the Polytech is 1300 students per year. Thanks to the activists of Cyber Resistance, the National Resistance Center has a database of 1209 names and phone numbers of students enrolled in 2023. These are mostly minors who are in grades 9 through 11 and undergo training and internships.
670 students are assigned to the projects of the JSC “Special Economic Zone of Industrial and Production Type “Alabuga” and are undergoing training and internships in various educational areas (from programming to law).
539 students are assigned to a project called “lodki” (boats). “Motor boats” is the code name for the production of Russian UAVs. The students are involved in the areas of electrical installation, air navigation, industrial equipment, laboratory and chemical analysis, industrial robotics, numerical control, etc.
Especially cynical is the fact that among this list of children, the National Resistance Center recorded one child who was taken by the Russians from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. This is confirmed by a Ukrainian phone number.
This is yet another example of the brazen cynicism of the aggressor, who is committing deliberate genocide of Ukrainians in the TOT and taking Ukrainian children for assimilation in the territory of the Russian Federation. Even more horrifying is the fact that Ukrainian minors are being forced by the aggressor to work in the production of weapons.
It is a fact that the aggressor does not value people from the temporarily occupied territories. But it is not surprising if Russia treats its own citizens this way.
The National Resistance Center appeals to all international organizations to condemn another violation of international law by the aggressor. The involvement of its own citizens – minors – in the production of UAVs that terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine on a daily basis is a gross violation of international law. This is a deliberate transformation of children into combatants and exposing them to danger. And the involvement of Ukrainian children in this is a double crime of the aggressor for which those involved will be punished.
