According to our sources, the Russian Federation is actively recruiting female prisoners to participate in the war against Ukraine.
In recent months, the Russian Ministry of Defense has been working with prisoners in women’s correctional facilities in various regions of Russia. Women are offered to sign a contract for a year during such visits. They are offered mainly combat positions, including sniper and assault rifleman. If they agree to sign a contract, they are supposed to undergo a two-month training program, and upon completion of the contract, they are pardoned.
