Russians created a unit of athletes for combat operations in Ukraine

Russia has created a special unit of athletes to participate in the war against Ukraine, sponsored by state-owned companies.

On the initiative of the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Kiriyenko, the Soyuz unit was created. It includes participants in sports competitions, including martial arts tournaments.

The sponsors are Rosatom, Sberbank and other state-owned companies, which have spent tens of millions of rubles during the war to purchase weapons and optical equipment. The Russian Special Forces University in Chechnya is responsible for training the fighters.

The National Resistance Center reminds that by passing on anonymous information about the location and movement of enemy manpower and equipment, you help the Defense Forces to resist the enemy.
